Nice to meet you! My name is Ivo de Vink, freelance UI/UX designer. For more than 15 years I've been working on digital products with passion, creativity and an eye for detail.
From a young age, I was into design and drawing. At the age of 10, my parents bought me an Apple Macintosh LC, and I discovered the possibilities of digital design. A new world of interaction, color, typography and animation opened up to me. I was sold!
During my studies (Graphic Lyceum and HKU) I learned to turn my hobby into my job and from 2005 I started my own company 'Flystudio'. Together with a developer we made applications, websites, web shops and tools for various organizations.
From 2011, I worked at digital agency Simplefly from Utrecht. At Simplefly I worked as a senior and lead designer together with about 30 colleagues (developers, UX/UI designers and project managers) on various projects. These were projects for organizations such as TNO, Kader, PO Raad, Province of Utrecht and Kadaster. In 2018, Simplefly acquired full service digital agency 'Bureau BlauwGeel'.
I create my designs with attention to detail, without losing sight of the user and business goals of the product.
My experience includes designing complete user interfaces, design systems, (transition) animations, icons sets, prototypes, styleboards, user flows and wireframes. I also like to substantiate my design choices with UX research and analysis.
I have experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision and Adobe Cloud software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XD). I also sometimes use SVG animation tools, to create, for example, added value with subtly animated icons.
